Vision

art.in is a project at the intersection of art, cultural mediation, and youth mental health.

Developed in collaboration with Kunsthaus Zürich, the LIFE team at the Psychiatrische Universitätsklinik Zürich, and the Children Action Foundation, it offers adolescents in the LIFE programme a space for exploration through artistic and cultural experiences. art.in also reaches out to a broader audience through public events.

Art as a space for expression, resilience and inner resources.

The programme is based on regular workshops designed for adolescents supported by LIFE. Each month, two complementary modules are offered, one at Kunsthaus Zürich and the other with the Opernhaus Zürich. Together, they invite participants to explore emotions, creativity, movement, and self-perception in a stimulating artistic environment

At Kunsthaus Zürich, the workshops combine guided visits, group discussion, hands-on experimentation, and artistic creation. Connected to the annual theme, participants are invited to explore emotions, colours, and their own perceptions through different forms of visual expression.

With the Opernhaus Zürich, the workshops explore music, rhythm, movement, and bodily expression. Led by qualified artists, they give adolescents the opportunity to express their emotions through dance, performance, and other embodied practices.

Events | Public formats

art.in Zurich also offers public events designed to extend reflection beyond the LIFE programme. These events are intended for schools, families, professionals from the cultural, social, and educational sectors, as well as the general public. Their aim is to build bridges between art, mental health, and awareness through accessible formats that encourage dialogue.

Echo Chamber (coming soon)

Echo Chamber is a temporary public art installation conceived as an immersive space for discovery and reflection. Housed in a container placed in public space in Zurich as part of art.in, it will offer a participatory experience around self-image in the digital age, combining visual content, interactive installations, and artistic intervention. Open to everyone, it creates a dialogue between art, public space, and mental health awareness.
